Public happiness, private life satisfaction and/or purpose of life, sustainable subjective wellbeing are the ultimate goals of a global society that aims to win the challenge of environmental sustainability and social justice.
In the three-day Rome conference we will deal with these crucial topics in three different perspectives. In Day 1 (March 15) scientific papers on subjective/objective wellbeing indicators will be discussed. In Day 2 (March 16) the World Happiness Report 2016 with the ranking of happiness of world countries will be presented together with research of the top experts in the field. In Day 3 (March 17) the philosophical foundations of wellbeing and the desirable directions of societies will be discussed in the “Cortile dei Gentili” framework, an event promoted by the Vatican stimulating discussion among participants having different beliefs.
